NBA DFS DROPPIN DIMES-Monday, October 24th

A solid slate tonight with eight games and some really good matchups. The Utah Jazz and Houston Rockets game will be a good one to target. The Minnesota Timberwolves and San Antionio Spurs is another good game to target.

NBA Dashboard is also another good source to help build lineups.

Looking at an eight -game slate starting at 7:00pm

The “Droppin Dimes,” article will go over my favorite plays for the slate. It will consist of three to five core plays along with some additional plays and some value plays. You will not always see the highest-priced players or the most obvious plays. The article will be the building blocks to help construct lineup/s.

NBA Dashboard is also another good source to help build lineups. Check it out here – DailyAmbush: NBA Dashboard

The Dashboard will provide projections, player ratings along with matchup and other statistics for both Ambush and me (under FB Model). The dashboard feeds the optimizer allowing users to create lineups using (Avg FPs, Ratings, FB Projections, FB Ratings, projected ownership and GPP score). This is a good tool to utilize, and it gives the user a lot of ways to mix it up.

Always keep an eye on the status of players before lock, especially now. There are still a decent number of players with questionable tags.

NOTES

  • Scottie Barnes is questionable and could potentially miss tonight’s game against the Heat
  • Mike Conley is a rest candidate- so keep an eye on his status.
  • Caleb Martin will sit out tonight’s game due to a suspension.
  • Bruno Fernando will be out again, and Alperen Sengun is listed as questionable- Usman Garuba becomes a nice value.

CORE

Lauri Markkanen,UTAH JAZZ ($6400)

Markkanen has found himself a new home in Utah with back-to-back 50 plus FP games with a double-double in each of them. He has become the primary scorer for the Jazz this season and has also done an excellent job rebounding the ball.  Taking 23 and 17 shots over the past two games and could get even more up tonight against the Rockets who run at a fast pace and play little to no defense. Mike Conley may sit out tonight, and this would only give Markkanen a higher usage rate. Coming in at $6400 tonight is a steal as he has hit that in all three games and eclipsed 8 times value in two of those games.

[spacer height=”20px”]

Usman Garabu, HOUSTON ROCKETS ($3500)

The Rockets will be without Bruno Fernando tonight due to an inury. Garabu slide into the starting lineup last game when Fernado sat out and played 25 minutes putting up 25 FPs . A very good change he starts again and could see additional minutes with Sengun listed as questionable. A very good rebounder who can add in some defensive stats and a few points. It will not take much for him to hit value tonight coming in at only $3500.  A salary saver that allows some higher priced players.
[spacer height=”20px”]

Damian Lillard, PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS ($9500)

Lillard started off the season a bit slow scoring 20 points in the first game while adding eight assists. Over the last two games, Lillard has put up 41 points in back-to-back games taking 25 shots in each of them. Going 6-13 and 5-12 from behind the arc and only adding in 2.5 assists in that time frame. Leading the team to a 3-0 start and gets a solid matchup against the Nuggets tonight. One thing that I have noticed about Lillard over the past few years is the hot streaks. He stays on them for a while. Going to ride the Lillard train tonight and hope he gets a few more assists so he can drop a 60 burger.

[spacer height=”20px”]

James Harden, PHILADELPHIA 76ers ($9000)

Harden is starting off this season taking more shots- which is good to see. The peripherals are still three coming close to a triple double in all three games this year. He has exceeded value in all three games played so far this year with a low of 48 FPS and a high of 60. Love the matchup against the Pacers tonight where he should be able to do whatever he wants, and I also like his chances of putting up a triple-double.
[spacer height=”20px”]
Jarred Vanderbilt, UTAH JAZZ ($4700)
A good FPPM player who has played well so far this year for the Jazz hitting double-digit rebounds in the first-two games. Exceeding 32 FPs over the past two games while scoring minimal points. The point is that Vanderbilt can get it done with rebounds and defensive stats and the points are just a plus. An excellent matchup against the Rockets tonight in this pace up spot where he should see 10 plus rebounds and get those STOCKS. Like his changes for a 35-40 FPs game tonight.
Core shown in image below allows $5633 left per player.

Dimes Play

Jaylen Nowell– has hit 20 plus Ps in all three games this year and put up over 27 in the past two. Taking double-digit shot attempts and scoring double-digit points in all three games.  Tonight, against the Spurs is another game where he should continue to do well as they have allowed the second most points to opposing teams.
