The Dongers Club – Sept 30th

This is the final regular season MLB Dongers Club article for 2022.  As of now, there are no plans to not be back in 2023 for what should be a very different season as teams play a more balanced schedule.  I look forward to coming back and having another successful season next year.

Yes, we will be continuing with the playoffs and some post-season content but until next season for the regular season Dongers Club I say thank you and farewell.

WEATHER

Looks like just one game will get hit tonight with potential PPD risks and naturally it is the second game of a double header in Washington.

Phillies @ Nationals – Rain

Best game of the day is Max Fried against Jacob deGrom, I can see both dropping their nuts on the table for an epic 2-1 gem but there are safer options on the board.

CORBIN BURNES

Milwaukee is fighting with the Phillies to see who can bow out of the wild card race first.  It’s quite the battle between these two non winning organizations to see who can suck more.  But I’m gonna give Burnes the benefit of the doubt to produce a good fantasy score tonight, even if he gets zero run support against Sandy Alcantara.

YU DARVISH

One of the least shocking things about the season has been how quickly the White Sox said yep, we’re done with this shit after they were finally officially eliminated from play.  Darvish shouldn’t push much past 6 innings today but San Diego needs him to do what he should vs the White Sox to continue their push to locking up the 2nd wild card.

NICK PIVETTA

I’m just picking on a team who clinched a post-season berth and probably is in hangover mode tonight still.  Pivetta also gets the boost of facing a RH heavy lineup that should help him out.

Pirates vs Cardinals

Sign me up to finish this season off with my favorite over bets in Baseball.  Pirates vs Cardinals, with the added cherry on top of former Cardinal Johan Oviedo starting for Pittsburgh against Jack I suck nuts Flaherty

Texas Rangers

Rangers are finishing out the season with some good offense and go into a good park this time of year when other spots are getting colder.

Kansas City Royals

We have a couple young lefties who are hitting well coming into Cleveland and Aaron Civale isn’t going deep but they should get something off him early.  Vinnie Pasquantino should not be 3500 here.
