The Dongers Club – Sept 28th

Alright, lets cover some content scheduling notes as we finish up the MLB season.

  • Thursday, September 29th (Tomorrow):  No article, notes in Discord on plays and bets for early / late if any.
  • Friday, September 30th:  Main Slate Article
  • No more articles for the rest of the regular season which runs through Wednesday October 5th.  The last 3 days should be a dumpster fire and if anything stands out it will be touched in the Discord.
  • The Dashboard will remain updated as it has been for all the slates throughout the regular season.

Post-Season Content

  • Post-season predictions article will come out on Thursday, October 6th with some series bets
  • Any slate with 4+ games will have a full Dongers Club article, including Friday, October 7th and through that weekend including Sunday if necessary.
  • Any slate with 2+ games will be covered in Discord or just a quick cheat sheet.
  • Will do a World Series betting article much like last season.

WEATHER

Looks like everything should get in tonight.

[spacer height=”10px”]

AARON NOLA

The Phillies got six innings out of Wheeler last night and will need eight or more tonight from Nola.  They badly need this win with Nola on the bump against the Cubs.  I would be shocked if he doesn’t go a full 8 or even 9 innings tonight.

TAIJUAN WALKER

The Marlins had arguably one of their best hitting days of the entire season last night.  I’ll bank on that not happening again today.

BRANDON WOODRUFF

The Cards clinched the NL Central last night, look for a weaker lineup tonight from them as they rest after the win and Woodruff to cruise.

Athletics vs Angels

This is a little bit like early April baseball and we want to find a nice warm weather environment with two middle of the road pitchers.

  • OAK – Kemp, Machin, Murphy, Brown
  • LAA – Trout, Ward, Ford

Mariners

If I bet the Mariners they do not score, so I will not bet the Mariners tonight for all of you in DFS.  They are a great value and should be able to have favorable match-ups against Martin Perez

  • Haniger, Suarez

Orioles vs Red Sox

Should not be as high scoring as last night but both teams are swinging the bats very well and there’s no reason to be afraid of Kremer and Dick Mountain.

  • BAL – Mountcastle, Hays
  • BOS – Pham, Verdugo, Bogaerts

Yankees vs Jays

I expect some fireworks from both teams tonight.  Cole will not go quietly and Vlad should touch him up.

  • NYY – Judge, Torres, Stanton
  • TOR – Bichette, Guerrero, Jansen
