Overview

With four games in the NHL on Wednesday, there are a couple of potentially one-sided affairs while also having two games that should be competitive throughout. The Maple Leafs take on the Sabres and the Predators travel to Seattle to square off with the Kraken. On paper, Toronto and Nashville have the advantage but this is, after all, the NHL. The Rangers host the Blues with New York trying to end their mini two-game skid while the Kings travel to Dallas to face the Stars looking to come back from a 7-0 drubbing the other night at home against the Bruins. There are plenty of DFS plays to uncover so let’s get to that now.

Key Skaters

C Auston Matthews (TOR)

It’s not a sneaky play but it’s very tough to imagine fading Matthews in this matchup on a short slate. The Sabres are one of the worst teams in the league as far as fantasy production to the center position goes and AM34 is coming off of an uncharacteristically piss-poor effort against Washington. Aside from that setback Matthews had recorded multiple-point games in three straight and I’m looking for him to get back on track with such production tonight.

W Filip Forsberg (NSH)

In a friendly matchup, Forsberg is significantly underpriced in my opinion as someone who has 27 goals in 40 games this season including a tally in three of his last four games. Seattle has struggled defensively all season and Forsberg and the Predators should be able to exploit them even in a road matchup.
