We back boys.
The NHL announced yesterday all the make-up games for those which have been lost due to COVID-19 reasons and so we will have a hell of a flurry of games coming in February with teams on lots of back to backs.

Claude Giroux – Flyers – $4,400
While Cam Atkinson will be a desirable narrative play vs his former team, it’s Giroux centering him who gets the boost here at a good price while Sean Couturier is out. C-Bus is 27th in goals allowed, 17th in assists and 21st overall over the last month to opposing centers.
Sam Bennett – Panthers – $5,800
We can justify the logic for Barkov over Bennett here too but Sammy B is playing well for Florida right now and centers have been a pain in the ass for the Oilers to keep from scoring goals. He has 14 of which on the season and looks to keep a recent hot stretch going tonight.
Mikko Rantanen – Avalanche – $8,700
The Kings are about as efficient on defense as the Los Angeles police department is at keeping trash off the streets in L.A. They’re just not even trying it seems of late. L.A. manages to not let teams fire 30+ shots on goal per game against them and their goal tending has gone to sleep allowing 9 goals in the last two games vs the Sharks and Lightning. In comes the 420 line with ole Mikko Rantanen who has simply destroyed L.A in recent meetings.

OVERALL POSITIONAL RANKINGS
CENTERS
Even though McDavid, MacKinnon and Barkov are on this slate, I believe we have some good mid range value here tonight. McDavid has lots of value around him on the Oilers lines, so for stacking he is top notch today out of this mix, but I’m leaning spending down here.
- Connor McDavid (EDM)
- Claude Giroux (PHI)
- Nick Suzuki (MTL)
- Anze Kopitar (LAK) … $4.8k for Kopitar is VERY tempting
- Sam Bennett (FLA) … Price considered prefer him over Barkov
- Geno Malkin (PIT)
WINGS
- Mikko Rantanen (COL)
- Jonathan Huberdeau (FLA) … Correlates on 2nd line with Bennett
- Oliver Bjorkstrand (CLS) … Blue Jackets are the best one off team tonight. The Flyers allow 34.7 shots on goal per game and Bjorkstrand/Laine both average 5+ shot attempts per game. Either is fine here.
- Cam Atkinson (PHI)
- Filip Forsberg (NSH) … I don’t care if it is a Thursday, he is scoring.
DEFENSE
- Zach Werenski (CLS)
- Charlie McAvoy (BOS)
- Aaron Ekblad (FLA)
- Ivan Provorov (PHI)
- John Klingberg (DAL)
VALUE
- Kasperi Kapanen (PIT)
- Ryan Donato (SEA)
- Jesse Puljujarvi (EDM)
- Kailer Yamamoto (EDM)
- J.T. Compher (COL)
- Eeli Tolvanen (NSH)

Blue Jackets vs Flyers
Girioux & Atkinson … Bjorkstrand & Werenski
Both teams give up a ton of shots on goal and both teams have a bunch of mid range priced players who are likely to hit the SOG bonus with high goal upside. Columbus might feel like the tricky decision on CLS1 or CLS2 to determine which line to stack, but I say just take both Laine and Bjorkstrand in a stack to ensure their top wing players. If you wanted a full line stack though the Jenner-Nyquist-Bjorkstrand line is the best three man unit.
Don’t sleep on Zach Werenski and Ivan Provorov either.

Nashville Predators
Mikael Granlund, Filip Forsberg, Matt Duchene
Winnipeg is without Ehlers tonight, losing some speed and some depth. They have been fairly weak on the Penalty Kill and are going to get thumped by the Preds tonight.
[spacer height=”20px”]
Florida Panthers
Sam Bennett, Jonathan Huberdeau, Anthony Duclair
While Bennett has been playing well he also gets the boost of being full strength with two guys who are on the top PP unit for Florida in Hubes and Duclair. This presents us with a fine stack option today.
[spacer height=”20px”]
Colorado Avs
Nathan MacKinnon, Mikko Rantanen, Andre Burakovsky, Devon Toews
If you ride with the Avs tonight look for full PP exposure. No, these guys aren’t all on the same PP unit, but we are spreading across getting Rantanen in with MacKinnon and then taking two guys from the second PP unit.

Juuse Saros – Nashville – $7,900
Jets shot volume is enough and Preds are a team I like to win tonight. Good scenario for Saros to win 4-2 with 30+ saves.
Robin Lehner – Golden Knights – $8,500
If you want someone just who is going to win, the Golden Knights are rightfully a very heavy favorite vs the Canadiens.
