Nathan MacKinnon – Avalanche
In his last 8 games vs the Wild, MacKinnon is vaeraging 18+ fantasy points per game and the last time Colorado did not have a 4+ goal game was back in the middle of December. I don’t see MacKinnon and company going quiet today and no I do not want to get cute with a cheaper Nazem Kadri or Andre Burakovsky. Give me Mackinnon all day.
Phil Kessel – Coyotes
Thanks to the value that we have with Arizona we’re able to play the Colorado top line. The Coyotes have quietly been a little more respectable of late and on the season their opponent – Montreal – ranks 28th against RW. Both Kessel and Clayton Keller are logical plays from Arizona, but the $1400 difference is enough for me to ride Kessel as a good value play. He has 8 assists over the last three weeks while Keller has been getting the goals. Either are fine.
Erik Gustafsson – Blackhawks
Another good value here as the Kraken are the auto target with defenseman. Goose gives us PP exposure from a PP unit which should be better and gets a soft spot today.
