NBA DFS DROPPIN DIMES-Monday, JANUARY 10TH

The NBA is in a tough situation right now with players entering the health and safety protocols. This is on top of the number of players out due to injuries . Teams are signing players that have not seen the court for 10-day contracts.

GAME/TEAM NOTES

  • Portland Trailblazers are now down three starters- Lillard, McCollum and Powell. This accounts for over 2/3 of the team’s usage. The key player here is Anfernee Simons whose has a 32.7 % usage with these players off the court. Next in line is Jusif Nurkic at 26%. Nassir Little and Ben McClemore are two other players that are viable.

  • The San Antonio Spurs are down a few key players as well- Derrick White, Keldon Johnson, Devin Vassell and Dougie “Buckets’ McDermott with Tre Jones also out. Two players have a 30 plus usage rate with these players off the court. Dejounte Murray (32.1%) and Lonnie Walker IV (31%). Bryn Forbes is next on the list at 22%. Jakob Poeltl may not push 20 % usage, but he does well each night pushing close to a double/double. One other player to look at is Joshua Primo who has been playing a bigger role as of late and is coming off 39 minutes last game.

  • Bucks/Hornets game will run at the fastest pace and has a high total. The Hornets are ranked 27th in defensive efficiency putting the Bucks in a good spot. With the Bucks down Jrue Holiday you can look at the Hornets guards LaMello Ball, Terry Rozier and even Gordon Hayward.  Also, Miles Bridges has been playing better as of late and worth a look. Top players target on the Bucks- Giannis Antetokoinmpo, Bobby Portis and Donte DiVincenzo (looks like he may be back tonight and only 3.9K)

Looking at a 7-game slate starting at 7pm
Always keep an eye on the status of players before lock, especially now. There are still a decent number of players with questionable tags.

CORE

Anfernee Simons– price is on the rise, but still a good value for his production. The Blazers are down 3 starters and Simons has the highest usage with them out at 33%. Consistent minutes at 35 plus, 6 or more assists in the last 4 games and shot attempts at 21,17, 15,17 in the last 4 as well. He is the primary scorer 43,28,14 and 31 in lat 4 games) now and should do well again tonight.

Bojan Bogdanovic-is paying 35 plus minutes as of late with the Jazz down a few players. His rebounding totals have been up with Gobert off the floor, and he is taking close to 20 shots a game. The Jazz will also be without Rudy Gay tonight, so Bogdanovic could see some additional run and minutes.

Lonnie Walker IV- the Spurs are down a few players and Walker comes in with the second highest usage rate(31%). Kid is not afraid to pull the trigger with 20 shot attempts last game. His high usage, potential to play 30 plus minutes and his 4.2K price make him an excellent value tonight.

Rajon Rondo- is too cheap right now for his role on the Cavs. Just make sure he is active tonight on a back-to-back. Has 10x upside at his 3.3k price. Triple/Double upside even in 25 minutes.

Top Pay Up Spots
  • Dejounte Murray– pushing 50 plus every night on poor shooting.
  • Giannis Antetokounmp0
  • Julius Randle- has not been playing well as of late. This is a massive pace up spot where the Knicks get a +5 (top on the slate). Also, the Spurs are down a few key players. Randles peripheral stats have not been that bad. It has been his shooting (6-19, 8-20, 2-11, 5-20). A good bounce back spot for him with his price dropping $1000.

Dimes Play

Ben McLemore– should see more minute’s tonight with Normal Powell out. 25 minutes last game with potential for 30 plus tonight. McLemore is not afraid to shoot and can see hit taking 20 plus shots tonight. Excellent value at only 3.3k with potential for 10x.
