NBA DROPPING DIMES- Monday, November 8th

Tonight brings a 8 game  slate starting at 7p.m. ET.

The “Droppin Dimes,” article will go over my favorite plays for the slate. It will consist of three to five core plays  along with a few additional plays and a few value plays. You won’t always see the highest-priced players or the most obvious plays. Players listed first at each position are my favorite and a good start to build a lineup around.

(Note: All pricing and fantasy points are based on DraftKings but can be used for all sites.)

Keep an eye on the injury status of players as they can be ruled out right before lock.

Game/s to Target:

Suns/Kings and Hornets/Lakers game.

Suns/Kings fast paced with two bottom 10 defensive efficiency teams.

Hornets get a massive bump in pace and Lakers get the best matchup on the board.

NOTES:

FPPM= Fantasy Points Per Minute, FPPG= Fantasy Points Per Game, PPG=Points per Game, Value=Projected points/salary(This will differ depending on the site).

Shake Milton, Philadelphia Sixers ($5200/$5600)

The Sixers have announced that Joel Embiid will sit out tonight. Milton gets a nice usage boost with him off the floor. He has also been playing well since returning to the floor. Back-to-back games over 36.8 FPs and double digit shots. Filling up the stat sheet with rebounds and assist as well.  This is a plus matchup as the Knicks are ranked 26th in defensive efficiency this year. Also, they run at a +5 pace differential.

Also consider: Luka Doncic,  Trae Young

Value: Gary Payton II,  Alex Carusi

Jordan Poole, Golden State Warriors ($5800/$6000)

Poole has dropped 30 or more FPs in three straight games with the 4th at 27. Taking double-digit shots and scoring over 20 real points in that time-frame. Love this matchup against the Hawks in a fast paced game and a plus defensive matchup. Looks like another 30 plus FPs performance from Poole tonight.

Also consider: Devin Booker, Will Barton

Value: Furkan Kormaz, Cody Martin- playing 25 plus minutes a night and playing well. Plus matchup only 3.6K.

Gordan Hayward, Charlotte Hornets ($6900/$6100)

Hayward has been a bit inconsistent this year with a few 18 FP games in between the 30 plus games.  The minutes have been stable around 35 plus and shot attempts in double-digits with a few games over 20. His rebounding has been up over the past few games. What I like the most is this massive pace boost and the plus defensive matchup for the Hornets. Giving him 35-38 minutes in this spot Hayward should return 40 plus FPs tonight.

Also consider: Kevin Durant, Harrison Barnes

Value: Kent Bazemore,  DeAndre Hunter, Georges Niang

Kristaps Porzingas, Dallas Mavericks ($6700/$7100)

Porzingas came back last game after 10 days off and put up a solid game in limited minutes 21/7/2 with a few defensive stats. His price came down close to 1K on DraftKings and he gets a plus matchup against the Pelicans tonight.  Minutes may still be limited at around 30, but he has two games this year with 38.3 and 44.5 FPs playing under 30 minutes.

Also consider: Miles Bridges (CHA), Anthony Davis, DeMar DeRozan

Value: JaMychal Green, A-Aron Gordon, Danilo Gallinari-type of game where you will see his upside.

Andre Drummond, Philadelphia Sixers ($5700/$5500)

The Sixers have ruled out Joel Embiid and this opens up a starting spot for most likely Andre Drummond. His price has come down some after the monster game he put up last time Embiid sat out at 56. FPs. A chalk play tonight, but at his under 6K price it will be hard to pass up as he is a 8K plus player when playing over 30 minutes.

Frank “The Tank” Kaminsky, Phoenix Suns ($4300/$4300)

Kaminsky has played well the two games that DeAndre Ayton sat out. Playing 29 minutes in both games and dropping 35 and 32 FPs respectively. Before the Embiid news, Kaminsky was going to be the chalk play, but now with Embiid out I do see Drummond picking up more ownership. Both are good plays and Kaminsky can be used at the PF position as well. Also, this is an excellent matchup for the Suns as they play the Kings who rank 23rd in defensive efficiency.

Also consider: Karl-Anthony Towns, Jonas Valanciunas

Value: Jarredd Vanderbilt, Alex Len

CORE PLAYS

  • Andre Drummond
  • Frank Kaminsky
  • Shake’ Rattle and Roll” Milton

Dimes Play(GPP Play of the Night) Under 5k Player with low ownership and upside

Avery Bradley– The Lakers are without LeBron James and possible Anthony Davis. Bradley has been starting and playing around 25-30 minutes. Double-digit fantasy points in the last 6 games, but nothing over 16 FPs. He is only 3K and this is the type of game where his upside will show. I do see him putting up over 20 FPs tonight.

DOUBLE DIMES PLAY

Tyus Jones– playing close to 20 minutes a game as of late. Revenge game!.
