Friday, November 5th – NHL Contest (Link posted Friday)

Sunday, November 7th – NFL Contest

Tonight brings 11 game  slate starting at 7p.m. ET.

The “Droppin Dimes,” article will go over my favorite plays for the slate. It will consist of three to five core plays  along with a few additional plays and a few value plays. You won’t always see the highest-priced players or the most obvious plays. Players listed first at each position are my favorite and a good start to build a lineup around.

(Note: All pricing and fantasy points are based on DraftKings but can be used for all sites.)

Keep an eye on the injury status of players as they can be ruled out right before lock.

Game/s to Target

Kings/Pelicans– fast pace and poor defense on both sides

Hornets/Warriors

Table below shows best defensive matchups for tonight.

Magic get a nice matchup against the Celtics whoa re not the same defensive team this year. Also, a massive pace boost +9.1 possessions.

If/Then….(Injury scenarios)

  • IF Brandon Igram sits again then Josh Hart becomes an excellent value.
  • IF Kristaps Porzingas sits then Dwight Powell is a good value
  • IF John Collin sits then Clint Capela gets a boost as well as Danillo Gallinari and Gorgui Dieng become excellent values.

NOTES:

FPPM= Fantasy Points Per Minute, FPPG= Fantasy Points Per Game, PPG=Points per Game, Value=Projected points/salary(This will differ depending on the site).

Patrick Beverly, Minnesotta TImberwolves ($3700/$4800) DK Play

Beverely is listed as questionable, but practiced yesterday and is in line to play tonight. This is the NBA though, so always check a players status before lock.  This season, Beverly has been very good an a FPPM basis averaging 21.4 minutes and 24.1 FPs. Under priced for what he is brining each night statistic wise. Now with the Wolves out Russell, Beverly should see a slight bump in minutes and could play 25 plus tonight. Also, he has exceeded 20 plus FPs in all 4 games he played this year.

Also consider: De’Aaron Fox, Damian Lillard, Cole Anthony

Value: Jordan McLaughlin, Shake Milton

Svi Mykhailiuk, Toronto Raptors ($3700/$4500)

Last game, Scottie Barnes was ruled out and most went to Chris Boucher-including myself. It seems that Boucher is not going to be a big part of the Raptors rotation as he barely played last game. Svi was the one who started and ended up playing 35 minutes. He had a good all-around game scoring 15 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals. This was against a tough Knicks team. Tonight, the Raptors play the Wizards in a pace up game (+5.5 possessions). Svi should be in line for another good game and is an excellent value play at his under 4K price tag on DraftKings.

Also consider: Fred VanVleet, Jaylen Brown, Colin Sexton

Value: Malik Beasley, Gary Trent Jr., Alex Caruso

Cedi Osman, Cleveland Cavaliers ($3600/$4500)

Osman was my Dimes play on Monday night and he ended up playing 21 minutes and put up 19 FPs. Scoring 13 points with no rebounds and 2 assists is unlike what Osman can put up playing 19 minutes. He is capably of filling the stat sheet. Now that the Cavaliers are without Lauri Markkanen, we should see Osman’s minutes hit 25-30 tonight in a good matchup against the Blazers. The best part is that his price came down $300.

Also consider: OG Anunoby, Luka Doncic, Andrew Wiggins

Value: Nic Batum, Kyle Anderson, Georges Niang

Josh Hart, New Orleans Pelicans ($4900/$5500) Listed as SF/PF on DK

Hart has been back for 4 games now and has seen a boost in minutes in each game. His production has been up as well from 20-30 FPs and his price has gone down in this time-frame. It is possible the Pelicans will be without Brandon Ingram again and this would allow Hart to enter the starting lineup for the 3rd straight game. Either way, he is a good play and should see close to 30 minutes in a fast paced, excellent matchup. Good chance he hits 6 times value plus tonight.

Also consider: Draymond Green- trip/dub alert tonight, DeMar DeRozan

Value: Keldon Johnson-will see a boost with Poeltl out, Aaron Gordon

Drew Eubanks, San Antonio Spurs ($3000/$3700)

The Spurs will be without Jakob Poeltl tonight due to the health and safety protocol and should miss 10 plus games. This opens up a starting spot and some usage. Drew Eubanks, Thad Yound and Keldon Johnson will be the ones who pick up these minutes and usage. Eubanks is minimal price on DraftKings and is a solid FPPM player at 1.2 this year. He should see 20-25 minutes which makes him an excellent value. Thad Young is also an excellent play at 4.1K as he is a good all-around player.

Also consider: Wendell Carter, Jonas Valanciunas, Jarrett Allen

Value: Thad Young, Jarred Vanderbilt

CORE PLAYS

  • Cedi Osman
  • Josh Hart
  • Draymond Green

Dimes Play(GPP Play of the Night) Under 5k Player with low ownership and upside

  • Danilo Gallinari– if John Collins is out! He would see an increase in minutes and has the potential to put up 30 plus FPs with 20-25 minutes. He is only 3.5K on DK.
  • Thad Young-did not see the court in the first few games, but has played 16 and 15 over the last two games. Now that the Spurs are without Poeltl we should see Young get some additional minutes. Love his upside as he can drop 30 FPs in 15 minutes. A good all-around player that has triple-double upside.

**Options to help build lineups- Take these core plays and enter into optimizer with your favorite setting(rating, FBrating, FBprojections, FunkProjections, ownership or ratings). OR use this article to help you build a lineup with some of your favorite plays. The Dashboard is also a great tool to help build lineups- It contains a good variety of stats and projections from multiple sources.

Good Luck!
