Tonight brings a 6 game slate starting at 7p.m. ET.
The “Droppin Dimes,” article will go over my favorite plays for the slate. It will consist of three to five core plays along with a few additional plays and a few value plays. You won’t always see the highest-priced players or the most obvious plays. Players listed first at each position are my favorite and a good start to build a lineup around.
(Note: All pricing and fantasy points are based on DraftKings but can be used for all sites.)
Keep an eye on the injury status of players as they can be ruled out right before lock.
Game/s to Target:
Spurs@Mavericks– One of the faster paced games on the slate with two mediocre defenses. Good value on both sides along with Luka.
Grizzlies@Warriors
If/Then….(Injury scenarios)
- IF Jerami Grant sits out then Kelly Olynyk and Josh Jackson become excellent plays
- IF Joel Embiid sits out then Andre Drummond and Tobias Harris become excellent plays
- IF Bojan Bogdanovic sits out then Joe Ingles becomes and excellent play.

FPPM= Fantasy Points Per Minute, FPPG= Fantasy Points Per Game, PPG=Points per Game, Value=Projected points/salary(This will differ depending on the site).

Jalen Brunson, Dallas Mavericks ($5000/$4900)
The Mavericks will be without Kristaps Porzingas tonight and this will open up more minutes for a few additional players. Yes, Brunson does not play PF or C, but he did play more last game after Porzingas went out. He has 26.8 or more FPs in 2 of the 3 games played this year with the other at 20. This is above his value of 25 FPs on DraftKings tonight. This also a pace up spot for the Mavericks as the gain a +5.4 pace differential. He is the second highest rated player and second best value on my model tonight.
Also consider: Luka Doncic- no Porzingis tonight, Ja Morant
Value: Alex Caruso, Killian Hayes
Andrew Wiggins, Golden State Warriors ($6100/$6400)
Wiggins has been consistent at the start of the season playing around 30 minutes and averaging 30 FPs which is right around his price. This is going to be a faced paced game against the worst defense in the league right now. This was a decision between Wiggins and Jordan Poole and went with Wiggins due to his peripheral stats and minutes. They both take double-digit shot attempts, but Wiggins has contributed more on with rebounds, assists and defensive stats. I can see a 20+ points performance wiht 5-6 rebounds, a few assists and some defensiive stats tonight for a 5.5-6.5 return on value.
Also consider: Bradley Beal, Jordan Clarkson
Value: Josh Jackson- if Grants sits out, De’Anthony Melton
Lonnie Walker and/or Davin Vassell, San Antonio Spurs
These tow both had big games against the Lakers and they both closed out the 4th quarter and OT. The Spurs will be without Dougie “Buckets” McDermott tonight and this opens up a starting spot and about 30 minutes. I could see Walker starting and getting some additional run and Vassell getting around 30 plus minutes. The Spurs play the Mavericks tonight who are currently right in the middle in defensive efficiency. They are both under 5K and projected at 5.5-6 times values with ceilings of 6-7 times.
Also consider: Kyle Kuzma, Kevin Porter Jr
Value: Desmond Bane, JeaSean Tate
John Collins, Atlanta Hawks ($6300/$6400)
Collins is averaging only 26.4 minutes a game, but has averaged 35.6 FPs (1.4FPPM). Some of the limited minutes is due to foul trouble and blow-outs. The Hawks are going against the Wizards who will be running a smaller lineup and I could see Collins playing a few additional minutes. A good price and good spot for Collins to return 6 times value with the potential for some upside with additional minutes.
Also consider: Kelly Olynyk, Julius Randle
Value: Dorian Finney-Smith, Keldon Johnson
Montrezl Harrell, Washington Wizards ($5300/$5600)
Daniel Gafford went down in last nights game and Harrell basically played every minute after that. Harrell played 38 minutes and dropped 25/11 line for 45 FPS. The Wizards do not have any other big men to play center unless they go even smaller and play Deni Avdija and Davis Bertans. He has played well off the bench for the Wizards averaging 30 minutes and 33 FPs. This will be or should be a fairly chalky play, but it will be hard for him to fail tonight. Either getting hurt of fouling out would be the main reasons why he does not succeed.
Also consider: Clint Capela, Draymond Green
Value: Dwight Powell
CORE PLAYS- cheap core tonight allows a few higher price plays.
- Montrezl Harrell
- Jalen Brunson
- Lonnie Walker and or Devin Vassell
Dimes Play(GPP Play of the Night) Under 5k Player with low ownership and upside

Davis Bertans- should see some additional minutes tonight with Gafford out. He has been playing close to 20 minutes, but could see closer to 25 tonight. More time on the court to get his shot going. Bertans could drop over 20 real points if he gets going. Like this spot for him tonight at his 3.5K salary on DK. Upside is 25-30 FPs 6-8 times value.
