The Slapshot – Fri, March 12th

What you need to know

Another five game slate tonight and we have some new weekend match-ups with mostly West Coast and Canadien games out there today, except for the Oilers and Senators who are once again meeting up to see how many goals the Sens can allow.  The slate does not lock until 8:00 PM.

STACKS

Colorado Avalanche

Nathan MacKinnon, Gabriel Landeskog, Sam Girard (or Jacob MacDonald punt value)

Nathan MacKinnon returned on Wednesday against Arizona and skated 18 minutes while getting off 10 SOG without a point.  In his second game back tonight he’s getting a good pace game with the Kings who have opened things up a bit this season and I expect the Avs top line to do what the Edmonton top line did the other night.  So we’re going to be on the Colorado side, aka the 420 line, with MacKinnon-Landeskog being musts and Rantanen being a guy to leave off unless you go full Colorado with value punts elsewhere.

St Louis Blues

Ryan O’Reilly, Vladamir Tarasenko, Jordan Kyrou

Last night in the discord someone asked about a secondary game to jump on for game stack and my second over bet of the day was Detroit and Tampa.  The reason being is Tampa was showing some signs of either being tired or bored and had been giving up waaaay too many goals lately.  The Knights aren’t in the tired category but they have played four straight road games in two different cities and are fairly banged up overall.  I can see them dropping a third in a row to a Blues team who should start to gel as Tarasenko gets more games under his legs
