It’s NBA All-Star Break season which means much larger prize pools and a lot of “optimized” lineups coming into the NHL lobby for this weekend.
TOP STACKS TODAY
Tampa Bay Lightning
Brayden Point – Brandon Coleman/Steven Stamkos – Victor Hedman
Just copy and paste my analysis from last night because it’s the exact same match-up and the only change now is Blake Bloody Coleman is skating at FWD1-RW for the Lightning to he swaps in for Tyler Johnson as the value play here.
Colorado Avalanche
Nazeem Kadri – Andrei Burakovsky – Brandon Saad
You can definitely consider the AVS top line here as well if you want to go with them as the high priced play and then plug in the top value on the slate. But Kadri has honestly been really good in a per 60 min rate this year and facing the Ducks he should likely have a 2 point game tonight which makes this full stack a better pt/$ play in my mind.
St. Louis Blues vs L.A. Kings (Best game stack
Neither team is a great defensive team and so there’s some nice value here between O’Rielly/Kyrou/Krug from St. Louis and Kopitar/Iafallo/Brown from the Kings side.
Also consider – Vegas 2 with E. Kane from Sharks
ONE OFFS
Center
Nazeem Kadri, Brayden Point, Ryan O’Reilly, Anze Kopitar
While any schmuck can tell you to play MacKinnon, I’d rather have Kadri line with a higher $ stack from Tampa.
Wings
Evander Kane, Brad Marchand, Steven Stamkos, Blake Coleman, Kevin Fiala
Ovechkin and Pastrnak are likely too chalky tonight to touch in a not so great spot for them but w/ NBA donkeys coming over, expect them to be the easy fades.
Defense
Victor Hedman, Shea Theodore, Torey Krug, Ryan Suter (*Great Value)
Overall top value on my model:
Ryan Suter, Blake Coleman, TJ Oshie, Brandon Saad, Andre Burakovsky, Jonathan Marchessault.
GOALIES
Jaroslav Halak (BOS), Antti Raanta (ARI)
Arizona has played better of late and Raanta is at home and should face 30+ shots without question today. Halak won’t see the same volume but I expect another tight game between Boston and Washington.
Risky but with high volume upside: Calvin Petersen (LAK) & Martin Jones (SJ)
Both guys should see a ton of shots and are at home, but not favorable for the win.
