The Flames are on B2B tonight. This is very much a stars and one offs build night for me, where I pass on forcing in correlation to make sure I have guys I think are going to have multi-point games. That said, a couple of the studs I like have value one offs that would make sense to use.
Short slate strategy night.
Colorado and Washington are likely the chalk teams today with the Kings probably coming in just after them based upon the odds forced chalk.
Colorado I think we have to get behind, they’ve been playing well and the Blackhawks just do not have the talent to keep up. That said — this is an exact copy of the Caps/Sabres on Monday when the top team in the conference faced the bottom team in the conference and the bottom team won at home. So a Blackhawk here or there with even a sprinkle on the over makes sense too.
My top team today though is Florida. They have scored just 4 goals in 2025, but will get that plus one tonight in a get right spot on the road vs Utah.
The CORE to build around tonight will be:
#1: Panthers (Bennett/Tkachuck/Eetu)
#2: Avs/Blackhawks (MacKinnon, Drouin, Donato) — OK going with Mittelstadt here for Avs as well to get better wings, but there’s plenty of value at wing tonight and a nice Punt D2 slate.
#3: Jakob Chychrun (Top one off)

- Sam Bennett … I wouldn’t call you a sucker for taking Barkov and the top line here either, but I really want MacKinnon and Chychurn tonight so the cost savings on the FLA2 line is better IMO.
- Nathan MacKinnon … Mac hasn’t scored since December 20th, that streak ends tonight.
