Rate Bowl: Rutgers vs. Kansas State
- KSU RB DJ Giddens is OPT out
68 Ventures Bowl: Arkansas State vs. Bowling Green
- Bowling Green RB Terion Stewart announced he is transferring to Virginia Tech (a solid pick-up for the Hokies). Arkansas State had the 131st ranked rush defense and gave up almost 6 YPC on the season and 32 touchdowns on the ground. BGSU should be able to roll out anyone and have some success.
This is easily the focal point on this three gamer as we have three Quarterbacks who will run it enough to justify this easily as a two Quarterback build.
- Avery Johnson – Kansas State – $7700 … Giddens out, a couple more carries for Avery just further raises the floor and value.
- Tucker Gleason – Toledo – $7700 … Second best “rushing” QB upside on this slate behind Avery Johnson and has some WR in great spots against Pitt’s struggling secondary down the stretch.
THE VALUE DART
- David Lynch (Pitt – $4500) … If Eli is definitely out then you could always do far worse than a 4500 QB who likely gets the full game unless they go with another True Freshman in Duggar for part of the way. Toledo has a good defense but Lynch can check down to Reid to negate that some. I wouldn’t play him as QB1, but S-FLEX he’s no worse than RB3 or WR5 options.
CORE PLAYS
- Desmond Reid (Pittsburgh – $9200) … Zero reason not to play Reid. He likely winds up being their #1 pass game target today as well.
- Dylan Edwards (Kansas State – $4500) & Joe Jackson – ($3000) … DJ Giddens is OUT. It’s really Avery Johnson or bust for me but this is a clear solid value spot as either Edwards or Joe Jackson gets more snaps and Kansas State is a great rushing team against a mediocre Rutgers rush defense. Giddens got about 12-15 rushes every game and so between Edwards and Freshman Joe Jackson I think the carries get split evenly making either a fine play.
VALUE
- Jaison Patterson (Bowling Green – $5400) … Listed as RB1 earlier in the week with Stewart transferring and unlikely to see the field despite claiming he can still play. Jamal Johnson ($3900) is another BGSU option as well.
CORE PLAYS
- Harold Fannin Jr. (Bowling Green – $9100) … Not much reason for Bowling Green to suddenly not feed him the ball 8+ times and especially with Stewart departing he becomes the guy that even at a high price in a game I think falls under will still achieve enough volume to plug him in.
- Jerjuan Newton (Toldeo – $7200) & Junior Vandeross (Toledo – $6100) … This is a slight product of opponents but the Panthers pass defense did give up some big passing games down the stretch to WR. Vandeross and Newton are both gonna see 9+ targets. Newton has more talent and likely see’s the critical targets in scoring situations.

- Dymere Miller (Rutgers – $3900) … This is a $5k WR who is just $3900.
