W Artemi Panarin (NYR)

As a Ranger fan the beginning of this season has not been better. Now, I’m expecting things to cool down a bit but not in this matchup for Panarin. The Breadman leads the team in points with 26 along with 10 goals and 66 shots in 16 games. Furtermore, Panarin has played 27 career games against the Penguins and recorded 33 points (15 goals) in those contests. This game should have some good pace to it with some scoring chances to be had. I’m rolling with Panarin tonight.

C Sidney Crosby (PIT)

As mentioned above, as a Ranger fan I’ve followed this team for years. For years Sid Crosby has been a major pain in the ass and the numbers don’t lie. In 82 regular season games against the blueshirts Crosby has recorded 38 goals and 66 assists which is absolutely sickening considering that the Rangers have been consistently competitive over the years. rosby has been solid to this point with 22 points in 17 games this season and notably his line has been one of the best in the league this season when in comes to expected goals scored rate. I like this game for some scoring tonight and starting my lineups with two pieces from it seems like a positive correlation move for me.

Goalies

John Gibson (ANA)

• As always, Gibson is a favorite of mine for the simple fact that he sees a lot of shots and he’s reasonably price. The Ducks allow over 32 shots on goal per game, the Canadiens average over 30 shots on goal per game while converting less than three goals per game. Gibson is affordable, has seen 30 or more shots in three consecutive games, and is at home with a good chance of coming away with a win.

Alexander Georgiev (COL)

• Georgiev continues to mind the net for one of the best teams in the NHL while seeing a solid amount of shots (27 per game), better explained 403 shots in 15 games. Georgiev is a solid goalie tonight despite a tough matchup.

Ilya Sorokin (NYI)

• Sorokin has seen 39, 43, 31, 34, 46, 36, 47, 37, and 39 shots on goal in his last nine games which means production for us in fantasy land, even with a few goals allowed here and there. With that many opportunities the floor is there and the upside of a shutdown effort is immense.

Jonas Johansson (TB)

• J.J. is seeing 33 shots per game and in what should be a fast-paced game he should see that and then some. The upside is high for J.J.
