NHL DFS – The Slapshot
Welcome to a large 10 game Tuesday night slate. After a four game slate on Monday we have the Kraken vs Sabres both on B2B tonight and everyone else is on normal rest. Both the Kraken and Sabres are playing 3rd in 4 nights on B2B, which this time of year is where I look more for teams to maybe have dead legs but since they’re facing each other and both are high scoring the only real logical path I see there for an edge is the under.
Avalanche
MacKinnon – Lehkonen – Rodrigues – Makar
I don’t think many will go here, but this is a very good spot for the PP units on both teams which puts some value on the Avalanche second line (Compher-Rantanen) but with the home ice line advantage, I expect MacKinnon to get lots of time away from Barkov tonight which really puts that line in position to win the slate
Lightning
Point – Kucherov – Hagel
The Bolts return home after a brief 3 game road trip where they finished with two really tough games against the Wild (5-1 loss) and the Jets (4-2 loss). There’s a lot of juice to lay with them tonight (-440) which is always a nervous feeling in hockey, but with a 2 game homestand I would bet heavy money they don’t lose both games and given their history vs the Blue Jackets, tonights a good DFS night for them.
Jets
Dubois – Ehlers – Connor
This top line should do damage vs Detroit, and Nikolaj Ehlers is someone I would consider as a one off top pick.
Wild vs Rangers
MIN: Gaudreau – Hartman
NYR: Zibanejad – Kreider
This is my gut feel game of the night. I wouldn’t full stack one team but I can see some nice C-W correlation plays here
CENTERS
You should be spending up at center tonight and can justify using 3 centers with 1 or 2 as one offs. It’s a strong position with lots of goal upside tonight.

Conversely, the Wing depth today is much better in the mid and value range, which is key to note when doing stacks because you’ll need at least one value winger with your expensive centers in stacks.

- Cale Makar (or Devon Toews for cheaper) … DEF vs Florida continues to be back to its regular self and Makar is one guy who could dominate and is an alternate play off MacKinnon.

- Nick Perbix – Value … All of Tampa options are in play
- Owen Power – Value … Power is second on the Sabres in Assists per 60 mins and also half the price of Rasmus Dahlin who is #1.
- Jared Spurgeon
- Matt Benning
VALUE
- Tyler Bertuzzi … Bertuzzi returns to the top line for Detroit and is $3,000. He has the best matchup DvP vs Winnipeg and is just too good of a value pick to pass up for me tonight.
- Seth Jarvis
- Yanni Gourde / Daniel Sprong / Kyle Okposo – Playing 3rd in 4 nights, look for the 3rd/4th lines in the Kraken/Sabres game to contribute more

Ten games, surely you can find a few goalies that are sure things tonight, right??
- Philipp Grubauer – Kraken … Go big or go home they say. I prefer the Kraken side and this is a good cheap goalie who will see enough SOG to justify allowing a goal or two in if he does.
- Kaapo Kahkonen – Sharks … The Coyotes don’t shoot a ton and the Sharks don’t play a ton of defense. So why exactly is he $8,000? Well, probably because DK know the Sharks will have their way with the Coyotes tonight.
- Ilya Sorokin – Islanders
