A big Tuesday night in the NHL and we have the Capitals and Kings as the two teams who are playing B2B tonight, but not much to really sweat with either one IMO.

HABS / WILD
The Wild are just bad and terrible vs LW. Cole Caufield immediately jumps out but since they’re on the road I trust the second line and see a ton of value with Dvorak – Anderson – Gallagher for Montreal.
Minnesota’s pretty much a one off team for me this year. One off Kaprizov or Boldy and move on, but the Canadiens are 23rd in goals allowed to opposing centers, so Frederick Gaudreau is a nice value to pair with Kirill.

Barkov and company got going at home over the weekend and head out to Phoenix to visit the Mullet heads in Arizona.

If Victor Hedman plays for Tampa tonight they could definitely go off. He is a key piece for them to help out on the power play and the Brayden Point whisperer is on line one telling you that Point is going to have 2 points tonight, a goal and an assist.

CORE PICKS
As I have done most of the season I am finding that building around one key line stack with one offs on these larger slates pays off better. So I’ll continue to break out my favorite one off key skaters and if you are asking — which stack? Well, the answers are below and above for most of these as three of the teams I wrote up as stacks.
C – Brayden Point – Tampa Bay
Having in would be HUGE for Tampa’s PP unit. The Senators are playing their second of two road games in the state of Florida and continue to have a hard time on the PK at 75% success which isn’t great. Tampa will get production from Point & Kuch.
W – Josh Anderson – Montreal
I had Kiril wrote up in this spot but his $8,200 price tag just doesn’t quite fit my standards for a CORE pick recommendation because he would need to have a huge night. The value with Montreal’s second line and the Islanders to me are the best value spots. With a likely up tempo game in Minnesota I’ll trust the speedy Anderson.
D – Quinn Hughes – Vancouver
Hughes returns to the Cancuks lineup tonight and he is probably good for a couple blocked shots along with some SOG on his own. The Devils haven’t given up a ton of production to opposing D-Men this year but for $5,000 the talent is too good to pass up for me.
UTIL -Trevor Zegras – Anaheim
Sharks are bad, Ducks like to play loose and Zegras is just having a great year. Second line with top PP unit exposure against a team allowing the most FPPG to centers.

CENTERS
Center is extremely deep tonight and so I don’t have desire for some of the ‘donkey’ plays out there. If you want someone who is going to post a 3 point night at 2% ownership then consider Jack Eichel. The Caps are on B2B and very thin overall right now. I think Vegas comes in and gets a good night from the Eichel line. Now, is he enough for me to rank him above core plays Point and Zegras? Not quite, but as a third one off on a night which has a one off + 1 stack feel to it, then I like it.
But Point, Zegras, Barkov are all extremely good picks tonight IMO.

The model is in love with Timo Meier and the model is locked in on those top picks right now. He’s a very logical choice as a stand alone Shark in a game which should have plenty of scoring chances.

Andrei Vasilevskiy – Lightning
Vagisil has had back to back decent but not great games and is projected to see around ~30-~32 SOG tonight, which puts him in a good spot to win 5-1 and get back into the 20’s.
Scott Wedgewood – Stars
Probably the most likely to win but may not see over 30 SOG tonight if Dallas controls things vs a Kings team on B2B.
Vitek Vanecek – Devils
I really like New Jersey to go into Vancouver and win. The Devils are the better team and playing well.
