NBA DFS DROPPIN DIMES-Wednesday, October 26th

A solid slate with 10 games tonight and a lot of good plays. Value has already started to open up with some players sitting out and more will possible open up before lock. Keep an eye on player status before game-times so you can see what value is available.  The dashboard will update as the night goes on, so this is a good source to use for projection updates.

NBA Dashboard is also another good source to help build lineups.

Looking at a 10 -game slate starting at 7:00pm

The “Droppin Dimes,” article will go over my favorite plays for the slate. It will consist of three to five core plays along with some additional plays and some value plays. You will not always see the highest-priced players or the most obvious plays. The article will be the building blocks to help construct lineup/s.

NBA Dashboard is also another good source to help build lineups. Check it out here – DailyAmbush: NBA Dashboard

The Dashboard will provide projections, player ratings along with matchup and other statistics for both Ambush and me (under FB Model). The dashboard feeds the optimizer allowing users to create lineups using (Avg FPs, Ratings, FB Projections, FB Ratings, projected ownership and GPP score). This is a good tool to utilize, and it gives the user a lot of ways to mix it up.

(Note: All pricing and fantasy points are based on DraftKings but can be used for all sites.)

Always keep an eye on the status of players before lock, especially now. There are still a decent number of players with questionable tags.

NOTES

  • Terry Rozier is listed as Doubtful
  • Russell Westbrook is listed as Doubtful
  • Devin Vassell and Michael Porter Jr have already been ruled out.

CORE

Josh Richardson, San Antonio Spurs ($3900)

The Spurs will most likely be without Devin Vassell who has the second highest usage on the team this year. This would open up about 24% usage and a starting spot. J-Rich has been playing around 20 minutes per game with a high of 28 so far this season. He could possibly get the start tonight and will pick up some additional minutes. Played 17 minutes against the Timberwolves the other night and put up 17 FPs (1-FPPM).  A player that can get it done on both ends of the court and contribute to most statistical categories. I could see Richardson getting around 25-30 minutes tonight and put up around 25+ plus points, which is an excellent value.

[spacer height=”20px”]

Kelly Oubre, Charlotte Hornets ($6200)/Gordon Hayward ($6500)

This was a decision between Kelly Oubre and Gordon Hayward as they both will pick up usage with Terry Rozier off the court. I can see Oubre being the more popular play and he has been solid so far this year, but Hayward is able to contribute in four of the five categories. This will be a tougher matchup against the Knicks tonight but can see both of them hitting value plus tonight. Slight lean towards Oubre, but if you want the lower owned player go with Hayward,
[spacer height=”20px”]

James Harden, PHILADELPHIA 76ers ($9600)

Harden continues to play big minutes and is looking like his old self putting up 29 plus points and just missing triple-doubles in three of the four games this year. Shot attempts are up from last year and he is averaging eight three-point attempts per game. I would continue to play him with his price under 10K and how well he is playing.

[spacer height=”20px”]
Jarred Vanderbilt, UTAH JAZZ ($5100)
Vanderbilt continues to play well with his new team hitting value in all four games so far this year. Minutes have been on the rise each game starting off at 18 and hitting 32 against the Rockets last game. The price is still too cheap for his production, and I will continue to play him until he hits around 6K. Especially in this fast-paced game as the Jazz have really picked up their pace this year.
[spacer height=”20px”]

Lonnie Walker IV, LA Lakers ($4700)

A possibility that Russell Westbrook sits out tonight and this would make Lonnie Walker IV an excellent play. Walker is already taking a ton of shots with 13 and 21 in the last two games. This is impressive with LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook on the court. The kid is a shooter and should have no issues getting shots up tonight against the Nuggets who are ranked 29th in defense so far this year. If for some reason Westbook plays I will have interest in him at his current price of only $6400.

Just missed the core….

  • Keldon Johnson- over 30% usage with Vassell off  the court.
  • Caris LeVert
  • Lauri Markkannen – going right back to him.
  • Brook Lopez– playing against his old team.

Dimes Play

Austin Reaves- should see some additional time if Westbrook sits out. Already playing around 20 minutes a game and could see an additional 5-10 more minutes. Excellent matchup against the Nuggets tonight where he could push 25 plus FPs.

**Options to help build lineups- Take these core plays and enter into optimizer with your favorite settings (rating, FBrating, FBprojections, FunkProjections, ownership or ratings). OR use this article to help you build a lineup with some of your favorite plays.
