NHL DFS: The Point Shot – March 18, 2022

Overview

With March Madness in full swing there is still money to be made in the NHL and six games on tonight’s DFS slate. Some high-scoring teams, some stars, and some teams playing their second game in as many nights leave for a lot of unpredictable outcomes. There’s certainly enough opportunity to get into the green so let’s dig in.

Matthew Tkachuk (CGY)

  • The Flames continue to be underpriced as a whole, especially when facing inferior opponents which is the case tonight as they take on the Sabres. Tkachuk has points in three of his last four games with multi-point affairs twice. Buffalo is one of the worst teams defensively allowing a lot of fantasy production to right-wingers and Tkachuk is just $6,900.

C Aleksander Barkov (FLA)

  • Heading into last night’s game against Vegas Barkov had recorded points in six of his last seven games posting multi-point efforts in five of those contests. The Ducks play at a relatively slow pace but the Panthers should be able to push the puck deep regularly and that’s pressure starts with Barkov’s ability in all three zones. You’re paying up for him but the upside is great for one of the higher scoring teams in the league.
