NHL DFS: The Slapshot – Feb 15th

There are more teams who are back tonight and I made a stupid (rusty) mistake last night chasing a team in the Sharks who hadn’t played in a while.  That has always been a bad indicator for a team to be in sync on offense and it showed with San Jose.

Tonight we are going to see the following teams back on the ice who haven’t been playing in a while

  • LA Kings – First game since Feb 2nd.
  • NY Rangers – First game since Feb 1st.

Steven Stamkos – Lightning

Stammer had a 2 goal game for us the other night vs Arizona and now gets a team he has historically loved playing.  In 38 career games Stammer has 38 points against the Devils.  On the road and on the second line he’ll see the weakest part of the Devils defense.

Filip Forsberg – Predators

PredsCamp Player Profile: Filip Forsberg

Two narratives here for the narratives crowd.  First off we have Forsberg on a Tuesday.  Second off we have Forsberg against the team who drafted and shipped him off for [EDIT:  lets just not go there okay???]… in Washington — who isn’t exactly playing consistent shut down defense lately as pieces are moving around quite a bit.

Devon Toews – Avalanche

For salary purposes Toews offers a $1600 discount off teammate – and stud – Cale Makar.  Cale has the advantage of being on PP1 but Toews gets as much regular strength ice time.  Dallas is a middle of the road target for defenseman and should be over-matched with the Avs forwards tonight opening up a SOG boost here.

Best game for value… Islanders vs Sabres

Igor Shesterkin – Rangers

One of the traits of a team who is “rusty” is that they dont get quality shots on goal and they give up a ton of shots.  So the first part hurts Igor in that the win chances are reduced however Boston is also short handed tonight so we can get lucky with that and the SOG volume that Igor should see warrants a chance at the SOG bonus and him having a massive score.

He is the only goalie I am trusting tonight.
