NBA DFS DROPPIN DIMES-Friday, FEBRUARY 4th

Looking at an 9-game slate starting at 7pm.

The “Droppin Dimes,” article will go over my favorite plays for the slate. It will consist of three to five core plays  along with some additional plays and some value plays. You will not always see the highest-priced players or the most obvious plays. The article will be the building blocks to help construct lineup/s.

Always keep an eye on the status of players before lock, especially now. There are still a decent number of players with questionable tags.

CORE

Brandon Goodwin, CLEVELAND CAVALIERS ($4100)

Goodwin has seen an increased role with Darius Garland going down and the Cavs down a few other guards. He has played 27 and 32 minutes over the last two games and put up over 25 FPs in each. The few other games where he exceeded 20 minutes he played well and hit 20 plus FPs as well. This is an elite matchup for the Cavaliers as they play the faster paced Hornets and get a nice bump in pace. Also, the Hornet are mediocre at best defensively  and allowing the 2nd most FPs to opposing point guards, so Goodwin should be able to take advantage of that tonight. I will have Goodwin in most of my lineups and Cedi Osman in the others.

Terry Taylor, INDIANA PACERS ($4200)
Talyor saw 37 minutes last game with Isaiah Jackson going down with in the first minute. He took advantage of the time and put up 15 shots scoring 24 points and grabbing 16  rebounds. One of the keys here is Goga Bitadze and Oshae Brisset are both listed as questionable- if they are ruled out then Terry should pickup the start and play around 30 minutes. Either way, I do think he gets some run tonight for the Pacers and worth a look coming off the bench. Torrey Craig is another option for the Pacers as he has been starting.

JaVonte Green, Chicago Bulls($3500)
Greenis playing a larger role with the Bulls as of late averaging 28 FPs over the last three games and playing in the high 20s in minutes. This is due to the injuries the Bulls have seen with some guards/wings.  They may also be without a few other key player  tonight which would increase Green’s role even more. He comes in at only 3.5K and should see close to 30 minutes tonight in an excellent matchup against the Pacers who have allowed the most FPS over the last seven days.

Darius Bazley, OKC THUNDER ($4400)
Bazley looks to be back in the mix and seeing an increased role with the Thunder down some players. He is averaging over 30 minutes and just shy of 30 FPs over the last three games while playing 36 minutes last game. This is a good matchup for Bazley tonight against the Blazers as they have allowed the 5th most FPs over the past seven games. These two teams just played a few games ago where Bazley played 26 minutes and dropped 26.8 FPs and I do expect him to get a bit more run tonight.

  • Dejounte Murray- top 5 rated player on model
  • Josh Richardson– playing well and gets an elite matchup only 3.7k

  • Kyrie Irving– James Harden ruled out- should get most of the usage.

Also consider: Frank Jackson(V),  Tre Mann(V),  Marcus Smart- playing extremely well right now and in a plus matchup tonight.

Also consider: Reggie Bullock(V)-increased role with no THJ,  Devin Vassell,(V)  CJ Elleby(V)

Also consider: James Johnson(V),  Jerami Grant,  Lu Dort

Dimes Play

Reggie Bullock-increased role with no THJ. Played 31 and 38 minutes over the last two games and has exceeded 30 FPs in two of the last three games and 24 plus in four straight. 

DOUBLE DIMES PLAY

CJ Elleby-  Blazers down a few more players after the trade today. Elleby should be back tonight and coming in at only 3K. He should see 15-20 minutes and could push 20 FPs. If he starts I would lock him in.
