NHL DFS: The Point Shot Cheatsheet – Wednesday, January 19, 2022

Key Skaters

C Auston Matthews (TOR)

  • Despite the Maple Leafs’ up and down record of late, they have been scoring goals at a solid rate do a lot in part to AM34’s recent production. Matthews has at least one goal in each of his last four games (five goals in total) while hitting the shot bonus in three of his last four including 13 shots in his last two contests. The floor for Matthews is strong, much of that is due to the volume at which he gets the puck to the net and the upside on a short-slate is immense in a spot where his ownership might be a touch lower than it should be.

W Mikko Rantanen (COL)

  • Rantanen and the Avalanche have been skating well of late as Colorado has scored four or more goals in nine straight games. Rantanen has points in each of his last three (four goals, two assists) and has three points (one goal and two assists on six shots) the last time these two teams met.
