NBA DFS DROPPIN DIMES-Wednesday, JANUARY 26th

Looking at a 11-game slate starting at 7pm.

The “Droppin Dimes,” article will go over my favorite plays for the slate. It will consist of three to five core plays  along with some additional plays and some value plays. You will not always see the highest-priced players or the most obvious plays. The article will be the building blocks to help construct lineup/s.

(Note: All pricing and fantasy points are based on DraftKings but can be used for all sites.)

Always keep an eye on the status of players before lock, especially now. There are still a decent number of players with questionable tags.

CORE

Cameron Johnson, PHOENIX SUNS ($4300)

The Suns will still be without DeAndre Ayton, Jae Crowder and not JaVale McGee. Johnson should continue to see 30 plus minutes with these players out. The kid has shown 40 plus upside earlier this year and has a good change to push 30 plus tonight against the broken down Jazz team. He just dropped 35 FPs against them last game and his price barely moved. The fact he should play 35 plus minutes and gets the start tonight along with the plus matchup against the Jazz as they have allowed the 5th most FPs to small forwards and the 9th most to power forwards over the past 10 days.

Richaun Holmes, SACRAMENTO KINGS ($4500)
Holmes looks to be back in form after some time off averaging 26 minutes and 25 FPs over the last three games. He would have pushed more minutes last night, but the Kings got their doors blown off by the Celtics where he played 24 minutes. After a night in the lower 20s in minutes and the Kings down a few bodies, Holmes could see closer to 30 minutes tonight in a plus matchup against the Hawks who rank 23rd against opposing centers over the past seven days. This is a good spot for Holmes to pick up a double/double in this fast paced game and add in a few defensive stocks (steals plus blocks)

Keldon Johnson, SAN ANTONIO SPURS  ($5000)
Johnson has been consistent as of late and is coming off a game where he only played 27 minutes due to a blowout. This will be a fast paced-high scoring game where Johnson excel in. More opportunities for shots and rebounds. The Grizzlies have been middle of the pack defending against power forwards over the past seven. Coming in at only 5K where he hit or exceeding that value in 9 of the last 10 games.

Just missed the core….
  • Jame Harden- does very well with Irving and Durant off the floor.
  • Trae Young
  • “The BIZ” Bismack Biyombo- No Ayton and now no McGee. Already playing 30 plus minutes when McGee was active. He just dropped 37 FPs in this same matchup and put up over 50 two games ago.
Top Pay Up Spots (along with the players above-just missed core)
  • Jalen Brunson- no one will play him with Luka and Porzingas in the lineup, but this is an excellent spot and he should see more time and usage with THJ out. Also, price is reasonable.
  • Dejounte Murray- dropped 47 FPs in only 24 minutes. Either hitting or just missing trip/dubs each night. I can see him going back and forth with Ja.
  • Pascal Siakam
  • Tyrese Haliburton

(V) Value Play

Also consider:  Chris Paul, LaMelo Ball, Rajon Rondo(V)

Also consider:  Caris LeVert, Derrick White-coming off an disappointing night- bounce back spot. Jordan Clarkson

Also consider:  CJ Elleby(V),OG Anunoby , Ben McClemore(V), Bojan Bogdonivic

Also consider:  Danilo Gallinari(V), Kristaps Porzingas, Dean Wade(V)

Also consider:  PJ Washington, Mo Bamba- bigs have been crushing the Clippers

Dimes Play

Terrance Mann- has quietely been playing well, but the attention has gone to some of the other Clippers players. He has seen 25 or more minutes in 13 of the last 15 games and has shown upside over 30 FPs. Elite matchup for him tonight at low ownership where he can put up 8-10 times value.

**Options to help build lineups- Take these core plays and enter into optimizer with your favorite settings (rating, FBrating, FBprojections, FunkProjections, ownership or ratings). OR use this article to help you build a lineup with some of your favorite plays. The Dashboard is also a great tool to help build lineups- It contains a good variety of stats and projections from multiple sources.

Good Luck!
