NBA DFS DROPPIN DIMES-Monday, JANUARY 31st

Looking at an 8-game slate starting at 7pm.

The “Droppin Dimes,” article will go over my favorite plays for the slate. It will consist of three to five core plays  along with some additional plays and some value plays. You will not always see the highest-priced players or the most obvious plays. The article will be the building blocks to help construct lineup/s.

(Note: All pricing and fantasy points are based on DraftKings but can be used for all sites.)

Always keep an eye on the status of players before lock, especially now. There are still a decent number of players with questionable tags.

NOTES
  • The Sixers are down Joel Embiid- this opens up 37 % usage and about 35 minutes. The start will most likely go to Andre Drummond with a good portion of that usage. Tobias Harris (31.5% usage) and Tyrese Maxey (26.2% usage) and Seth Curry (23.6% usage). Furkan Kormaz and Georges Niang will pick up some time and usage as well.
  • The Heat will be without Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry tonight against the Celtics. This opens up another starting spot-which Caleb Martin will most likely get.   coming in 3rd.
  • The Thunder are down their top player Shai Gilegeous-Alexander. Opens up usage for Lu Dort and Josh Giddey along with a few other value plays.

CORE

Andre Drummond, PHILADELPHIA 76ERS($3700)

Joel Embiid was ruled out earlier today and this opens up 37% usage, about 35 minutes and a starting spot. Drummond is the top candidate to pick up the start and some if that usage. He has filled in For Embiid before and out up some big stats. The price is too cheap to pass up which is why he should be 80 plus % owned tonight. The only thing stopping him is himself.

Gabe Vincent, MIAMI HEAT ($4800)
The Heat have been without Kyle Lowry and Vincent has stepped into the starting lineup and played well. Averaging well over 30 minutes and right around 30 FPs with Lowry out. Tonight, Jimmy Butler is out and he should see a bit more usage and potentially a few more minutes. Contributing in all categories with double-digits points in five of last six games.
[spacer height=”20px”]
Lu Dort, OKC THUNDER  ($6000)
The Thunder will be without SGA tonight puts Lu Dort and Josh Giddey in play. They have have similar upside but the price differs by $1300. Dort should play over 30 minutes and take at least 15 shots. He has been rebounding the ball well as of late and will always pick up defensive stats. Elite matchup against the Blazers tonight.
[spacer height=”20px”]
Isaiah Jackson, INDIANA PACERS ($4100)
Jackson should see a bump in minutes with Sabonis and Bitadze out. He has played well even I’m limited  minutes. Love the matchup against the beat down LA Clippers who have been getting crushed by big men this year.

Dimes Play

Jeremy Lamb-Pacers are down a few key players. Lamb should pick up some additional time on the court and has high usage especially on the 2nd unit. Elite matchup against the Clippers where he could push 8-10x tonight with close to no ownership.
