CAROLINA vs MINNESOTA – PPD
Obviously we have nobody on back to back because nobody played last night. Meanwhile just about everyone and their brother is in action today with 13 games on the slate and that is one less than we had expected as the Flames have a COVID situation which has canceled there game tonight and some upcoming games as well. We do have some east coast teams playing first home game after a west coast trip, which is never good and they are …
- Florida
- Philadelphia
- Boston

LINE LOCK OF THE NIGHT
San Jose Sharks
Hertl – Meier – Karlsson/Burns
Do not go to bed early tonight thinking you have won all the contests because the Shark bite will be coming through on the west coast. With so many games and so many bigger name teams tonight we’re going to get low ownership on the team with two very productive defenseman against the league’s worst team vs DEF over the last month. Tomas Hertl has 8 goals over the last three weeks for the Sharks – best on the squad – and for $4,300 his price tonight is what makes this line lock easy to fit in with other key one offs. Love the Sharks tonight and they’ll get 2 first period goals for sure.

SECONDARY STACKS
Vancouver Canucks
Miller – Boeser – Pearson – Hughes
Coach Budreau has the Canucks winning (for now, because it’s not the playoffs) and they are at home once again with a team allowing 34.2 shots on goal per game in Columbus who is in the middle of a nice long west coast trip. Look for the Canucks to stay hot tonight as production should come from their forwards.
Winnipeg Jets
Scheifele – Connor – Copp – Pionk
I don’t think any team has been a bigger stack disappointment the last couple of seasons than the Jets. But it’s the Sabres and they’re just bad against everything. Kyle Connor is the must own out of this group while Andrew Copp gets PP1 and Top line exposure at a low $4,400 price tag which is better than Neal Pionk for $6k unless you are going over the field on exposure to the Jets with 4 guys.
Pittsburgh Penguins
Carter – Zucker – Letang
It’s the Penguins power play unit which has my eye tonight, facing the Canadiens poor Penalty Kill and with Pittsburgh being at home they should control this game. It’s been a while since we had Jason Zucker night, but the Canadiens are 31st on the season against Left Wingers and this allows us to get good exposure on this team from that ho-dunk town in Western PA. without having to roster some trash center.
Colorado Avalanche
MacKinnon – Rantanen – Burakovsky – Makar
The Avalanche went off on the Rangers a week ago for 7 goals and New York responded their last two games allowing just 1 in each of them. Well, its back to getting a whooping tonight.

KEY ONE OFF SKATERS
These are top plays outside of what is mentioned above which are mostly stack situations.
CENTERS
- Nathan MacKinnon – COL – $9.5k
- Tomas Hertl – SJ – $4.3k
- Mark Scheifele – WPG – $6.6k
- J.T. Miller – VAN – $5.4k
- Jeff Carter – PIT – $5.6k
WINGS
TOP TIER
- Jonathan Huberdeau – FLA – $7.5k
- Kirill Kaprizov – MIN – $7.3k – Having a terrific season and has 14 points over the last three weeks with 5 goals in that span. The whole Wild top line has been playing extremely well and gets a tired Hurricanes team tonight.
- Kyle Connor – WPG – $7.4k
MID RANGE
- Timo Meier – SJ – $7.2k
- Sam Reinhart – FLA – $5.2k
- Anders Lee – NYI – $4.9k
- Jaden Schwartz – SEA – $4.3k
VALUE
- Andre Burakovsky – COL – $4.0k – After a hat trick over the weekend he has seen his price skyrocket up to …. $4,000. Sigh. He’ll remain on the top line with MacKinnon and Rantanen tonight.
- Jason Zucker – PIT – $3.4k
- Tanner Pearson – VAN – $2.9k
DEFENSE
- Erik Karlsson / Brent Burns – SJ … Either one, like them both
- Quinn Hughes – VAN – $4.8k
- Cale Makar – COL – $7.5k
- Nate Schmidt – WPG – $4.5k

GOALIES
Andrei Vasilevskiy (TB)
This is a nice spot where Tampa will see a ton of shots on goal against a heavy shooting Kings squad. Vasilevskiy is about as consistent as they come and on home ice has a great chance to dominate the slate with a shutout.
Spencer Knight (FLA)
The highest favorite on the board tonight at home is Florida and their goalie for only $7,200? Welcome to a massive NHL slate where one goalie dominates the ownership. The Panthers allow 30.6 shots against per game and the Senators only take 28.4 (or 28.3 if you round down) shots per game, so with Florida likely to dominate the puck in this game we should be safe from him posting some massive 30 point NHL DFS result today. But it’s a likely spot where he wins unless you are fading my whole “East coast team returning home after a west coast trip” narrative. Which is more of an NBA thing, but hey, here we are.
Jake Oettinger (DAL)
Not likely to see the SOG bonus but Oettinger is someone I think will give us a clean game with a win.
