Key Skaters
C Logan Couture (SJ)
- Even though hockey has been on a bit of a break I’m convinced that the Coyotes have not improved with the time away. Arizona has been one of the worst defensive teams in the league and one of the more penalized squads to this point. Couture finds ice time on the top line and top power-play unit and is extremely affordable at $5,600. He should be a trendy play on Tuesday. I’m leaning Couture over Timo Meier here ($7,800) because of the price discount but both should be stand-out plays in this matchup.
W Max Pacioretty (VGK)
- $9,000 is a heavy price to pay but on this slate, there’s a ton of value to be had making it easier to afford one of the better scorers in the league to this point. Max has 10 goals in 13 games this season and has hit the shot bonus six times. The Kings typically play at a slower pace but Max and Vegas are quite efficient on offense and the upside here is immense.
*Note: Pacioretty will be close to a game-time decision so keep an eye on his status, as will I.
