NBA DFS DROPPIN DIMES-Wednesday, December 29th

Tonight brings a 8 game slate starting at 7p.m. ET.

The “Droppin Dimes,” article will go over my favorite plays for the slate. It will consist of three to five core plays  along with a few additional plays and a few value plays. You won’t always see the highest-priced players or the most obvious plays. Players listed first at each position are my favorite and a good start to build a lineup around.

(Note: All pricing and fantasy points are based on DraftKings but can be used for all sites.)

The NBA is in a tough spot right now with a few teams getting hit hard with COVID. The Heat, Magic, Bucks, Kings and Lakers are all down players.

Players are dropping as the day goes on……….

Keep an eye on the injury status of players as they can be ruled out right before lock.

Change to the article structure due to the state of the league right now. A lot of teams are down players and there is a lot of value.  The core will consist of value plays that I see doing well.  Also, adding a top pay-up option. This will be the section for players over the 5.5K mark that I like the best.  As mentioned before, keep an eye on players status as COVID has been hitting teams hard and player/s from teams are getting tagged out as the days goes on. I will do my best to give a few other options in case any of the core plays get ruled out after this article is posted.

CORE

Nassir Little (SF/PF), Portland TrailBlazers ($5000)

The Blazers are still down a solid amount of players and Little is in line to play 30 plus minutes again. Coming off a monster 48 FP game and 28.5 plus in the last 3 games. Rebounding totals have been up with the increase in minutes along with scoring. He also gets it done on the defensive end averaging 2.7 blocks and 1.5 steals in those 3 games. This may not be the best matchup tonight against the Jazz, but with Little playing 30 plus minutes and this being a pace up spot I see him delivering 35-40 FPs tonight.

Joe Ingles (SG/SF), Utah Jazz ($4000)

I went back to the well on Little and doing the same here with Ingles. So much usage to go around with Mitchell out and Ingles has stepped in nicely. His minutes will be more secure now and he has yet to have a big game. Capable of putting together a 20/5/5 game with some defensive stats and get the 3 point bonus as he loves to shoot the 3 ball. Matchup is elite against the Blazers and this is a good night to continue to play Ingles, especially at his price.

Luka Garza (C), Detroit Pistons ($3500)

Garza put up solid numbers last game in only 20 minutes (20/6/2). He ended up fouling out, which limited his playing time. The kid is capable of a double/double just about every night if he played around 20-25 minutes. The Pistons will need him again tonight with all the injuires and players out due to health and safety protocol. I expect another solid night for Garza posting 10-15 points and 8-10 rebounds. The price is right, well under=priced for his minutes and production.

Caleb Martin (SG/SF), Miami Heat ($3900)

First, make sure you choose the right Martin….. the one on the Heat. Now, the Heat will be without Butler tonight. This will open up 35 plus minutes ,a starting  spot and around 30% usage. When Martin has played solid minutes he has returned with some good performance and some were close to 50 FPs, so this is the upside. A good matchup against the Spurs in a pace up game that he should do well in, especially with no Butler, Bam or Lowry. I expect a 25-30 plus FPs game tonight out of Martin at under 4k.

HEAT/SPURS Game cancelled!

Malik Monk replaces Martin
