Tonight brings an 11 slate starting at 7p..m. ET.
The “Droppin Dimes,” article will go over my favorite plays for the slate. It will consist of three to five core plays along with a few additional plays and a few value plays. You won’t always see the highest-priced players or the most obvious plays. Players listed first at each position are my favorite and a good start to build a lineup around.
(Note: All pricing and fantasy points are based on DraftKings but can be used for all sites.)
Keep an eye on the injury status of players as they can be ruled out right before lock.
Game/s to Target:
Timberwolves/Kings- fast paced game with a high total.
Hawks/Celtics
If/Then….(Injury scenarios)
IF Jimmy Butler sits out then Tyler Herro
IF Bam Adebayo Sits out then Dewayne Dedmon
IF Damian Lillard sits ou then Anfernee Simons
IF Norman Powell sits out then Nassir Little
NOTES:
FPPM= Fantasy Points Per Minute, FPPG= Fantasy Points Per Game, PPG=Points per Game, Value=Projected points/salary(This will differ depending on the site).

Patty Mills, Brooklyn Nets ($3500/$4000)
Mills as one of my favorite plays last night and he barely hit value. He started the game and played 32 minutes. These are both good to see, but his production was sub-par at best. Tonight, Mills should see another start and play around 30 minutes in a better matchup. Also, his price dropped from 3.8K to 3.5K making him an even better play. The Cavs have been solid defensively this year, but rank 23rd against opposing guards.
Also consider: Jrue Holiday- PGs are torching the Lakers, D’Angelo Russell, Jalen Brunson
Value: Patrick Beverly, Immanuel Quickley
Lou Dort, Oklahoma City Thunder ($4900/$5700)
Dort has been solid this year averaging 25.9 FPs over 32 minutes. Over the last 4 games he has exceeded 32 or more in 43 of those games. Tonight, he gets an elite matchup against the Rockets in a pace up spot. The Rockets rank 21st in defensive efficiency and run at plus 4 pace differential. The defensive matchup, pace increase and Dort’s recent form make him an excellent play tonight.
Also consider: Tim Hardaway Jr.- should get over looked with the mass going to Brunson and Porzingas, Bradley Beal
Value: Reggie Bullock, Duncan Robinson, Alec Burks
Cedi Osman, Cleveland Cavaliers ($4000/$4600)
The Cavaliers are down another player now with Evan Mobley out. It does look like Kevin Love will be back, but I do not expect him to play more than 20 minutes. Osman has been playing well with the increase in minutes and this is nothing new as he played well last year when given the opportunity. Over the last 4 games, Osman has put up 22.5 or more FPs with 43 in the last game. He will be one of the main scoring options again tonight and should easily exceed his value. I do not see his ownership exceeding 10% if that with all the other value on this slate.
Also consider: Anthony Edwards, Kyle Kuzma- bounce back game
Value: Josh Richardson, Isaac Okoro, Dean Wade
Chimezie Metu, Sacramento Kings ($3800/$4100)
Metu has seen an increase in minutes over the last 4 games going from 19 to 32 in the last game. He is averaging right around a FPPM, so if he plays around 26-30 minutes he would drop around 26-30 FPs. This is a good value for his sub 4k price on DraftKings. Add in the fact that this is a fast paced gamed and a good matchup. At 3.8K he only needs 19 FPs and he has hit or exceeded that in the last 4 games.
Also consider: Kristaps Porzingas, Jason Tatum, DeMae DeRozan
Value: Darius Bazley, Jae Croweder, Nasir Little
DeAndre Ayton, Phoenix Suns ($6200/$7800) DK PLAY
Ayton came back last game and played 33 minutes and dropped 22/12 stat line. This is a good sign that he is not limited on minutes. Tonight, he gets a go at the Dallas Mavericks who will be without Luka Doncic. The Mavericks have been solid on the defensive end this year, but rank 28th against opposing centers. This is an excellent spot for Ayton with his reduced price on DraftKings tonight. He should smash here and easily record a 20 plus point 10 plus rebound game.
Also consider: Karl-Antony Towns, Al Horford, Clint Capela
Value: Isaiah Stewart, Daniel Gafford, Larry Nance
CORE PLAYS
- Cedi Osman
- DeAndre Ayton
- Chimezie Metu
Dimes Play(GPP Play of the Night) Under 5k Player with low ownership and upside
TRIFECTA TONIGHT!
Danilo Gallinari- Gallo plays well against the Celtics. Last time he played them dropped 50 FPs. Love this play even more if either Huerter or Bogdonivic are out.
Josh Richardson– Celtics are now down two starters. J-Rich will see more playing time and he is only 3.3K. 20 plus FPs in last 4 games. Upside of 30 plus tonight.
Tony Bradley-has played 20 plus minutes in the last two games. He should see more time tonight against Nurkic in a good matchup. 6-7 times return.
