Tonight brings a 6 slate starting at 7:30p.m. ET.
The “Droppin Dimes,” article will go over my favorite plays for the slate. It will consist of three to five core plays along with a few additional plays and a few value plays. You won’t always see the highest-priced players or the most obvious plays. Players listed first at each position are my favorite and a good start to build a lineup around.
(Note: All pricing and fantasy points are based on DraftKings but can be used for all sites.)
Keep an eye on the injury status of players as they can be ruled out right before lock.
*Changed the format up a bit. Core at top and positional plays after.
NOTES:
FPPM= Fantasy Points Per Minute, FPPG= Fantasy Points Per Game, PPG=Points per Game, Value=Projected points/salary(This will differ depending on the site).
CORE
Aaron Gordon, Denver Nuggets -PF
The Nuggets are still down a a few players and will most likely be without Will Barton tonight. Gordon has pickup his game up a bit since Michael Porter Jr got hurt. He is playing over 30 minutes and has averaged around 25 FPs in that timeframe. His solid minutes and double-digit shot attempts along with the matchup tonight against the Sixers make him a player to target. The Sixers rank 26th in defensive efficiency and 25th against opposing PFs. Gordon comes in as the highest rated player on my model tonight.
Anthony Edwards, Minnesota Timberwolves- SG/SF
Edwards has been one of the more consistent players this year averaging around 40 FPs a game and in most cases above 35 FPs. He is taking over 20 shots in most games and contributes close to 7 rebounds a game along with 3 assists and a steal. The Wolves play the Spurs in what should be the fastest pace game on the slate as they both run at about 105 pace. A good spot for an upside game. His 27% usage puts him second on the team and his 36 minutes per game puts him first. He stays on the court for most of the game which gives him the opportunity for most production. The price has come down under 8k to 7.7K and a good time to buy in on Edwards.
Monte Morris, Denver Nuggets-PG
Morris has been filling in well at the PG position with Jamal Murry out. He is averaging right around 30 minutes and 23 FPs, but has stepped it up as of late with the loss of Michael Porter Jr. and with Will Barton out. Dropping 35 FPs in the last 2 games and tonight he gets an plus matchup against the Sixers who are down a few players. The Sixers are ranked 27th in defensive efficiency, which gives Morris a boost tonight. The price is under 5K and in line to return 6-7 times value with more upside if Barton sits.

Also Consider:
Pascal Siakam, Draymond Green
Value:

Dimes Play(GPP Play of the Night) Under 5k Player with low ownership and upside
Otto Porter– should see an increase in minutes with Iggy out. Has show 30 plus FPs upside in under 20 minutes. Could get extra run in blowout.
