With the small slate we’re naturally limited on top end pitching choices and not much to like here today but it sets up to be a perfect ownership leverage slate with no pitcher rated above 70 which is a big mark to determining how to approach the pitching slate.
Domingo German
The recent stretch of quality starts is very comforting given that German is not a 100 pitch per game guy yet but his efficiency with just 1 walk in every game before his last (he had 2!) is encouraging and he is facing a team who has been no hit twice at home this season in Texas. Obviously I doubt we’ll get another no-no today but of the 8 pitchers going I want no part of arms in the other three games, so this is where we live.
Dane Dunning
Dunning is probably 10-15% owned today and that is a mistake. He’s your best leverage play on the FanDuel slate with just 1 SP to pick there and our rule about game stacking pitchers on short slates applies heavily here with Dunning in a park that plays well for pitching with the roof closed.
Here is the deal, I want no part of hitters in the Yankee-Ranger game and I want hitting from all of the other three games today. The wind is blowing out at Wrigley in a day Bryzzo game and the weather in Cincinnati and Baltimore is ideal for those tiny parks. So this is very straight forward and it’s gonna be a matter of making sure we have the right CORE players from those spots as this is a 3-2-2-1 type build kind of slate.
