The Slapshot – March 7th

It’s NBA All-Star Break season which means much larger prize pools and a lot of “optimized” lineups coming into the NHL lobby for this weekend.

TOP STACKS TODAY

Boston Bruins

Patrice Bergeron – David Pastrnak – Matt Gryzelek

Really good opportunity to just take Pastrnak and move on tonight against the Devils.   I want no part of Marchand on the top line stack so Gryzelek as the value PP1 exposure is the easy third wheel here.

Washington Capitals

Backstrom – Oshie – Vrana

Value stack as Oshie (vs Flyers!) is just too damn cheap now at $3,800.  A lot of this is due to him not shooting the puck as much this year but I expect a point or two tonight.  The Flyers have been generous to RW all season and his shot volume should increase more tonight in front of the net.

Ottawa Senators vs Calgary Flames

Battle of the Tkachuk’s round 4.    The Lindholm-Tkachuk combination has been consistent for the Flames in these matchups and should be a little lower owned than the Monny-Johnny pairing which is a little cheaper.

ONE OFFS

Center

Patrice Bergeron, Nicholas Backstrom, Elias Lindholm, Roope Hinze*

Hinze is questionable tonight but overall I like Dallas and anyone vs Nashville.

Wings

David Pastrnak, Alex Ovechkin, Brady & Matthew Tkachuk,  Pavel Buchnevich, Travis Konecny, TJ Oshie

Defense

Mark Giordano, Matt Gryzelek, Justin Schultz

Overall top value on my model:

Ryan Suter, Blake Coleman, TJ Oshie, Brandon Saad, Andre Burakovsky, Jonathan Marchessault.

GOALIES

James Reimer – CAR

Anton Khudobin – DAL … Verify if in net.
