Four of the games tonight are re-matches from Wednesday and Thursday opening night and outside of Toronto/Ottawa meeting for the first time all the games are in the same rink. The one game tonight from last night is the back-end of the Capitals and Sabres.

Something that really stands out for re-match games is when the home team has a star and he doesn’t “go off” in the first game then he should be squarely locked in the next game. We saw that last night with McDavid and it applies to MacKinnon today. The “420” line is back together tonight and with only five games they’re an obvious choice to run away with the slate.
